Alternative Building Materials & Design Expo
This unique expo is Southern California’s most extensive showcase of green and sustainable building materials. This show continues to offer free admission and is the only regional event of its kind that allows the eco-minded public to meet and discuss with green conscious figures in the design and construction communities. Sponsored by the City of Santa Monica, Global Green USA and the Forest Stewardship Council among others, this event brings more than 100 exhibitors with featuring the latest in green building technologies and innovations as well as extensive education and outreach for the general public.
ASID - Orange County
The sixteenth annual Philharmonic House of Design marks the beginning of a stronger alliance with the American Society of Interior Designers Orange County Chapter (ASID-OC). The ASID—the oldest and largest leading professional organization for Interior designers—has been the exclusive source of designers for the Philharmonic House for the past three years and has been largely responsible for the quality and caliber of the beautifully finished houses. The House of Design boasts an annual attendance of 16,000 and raises more than $100,000 during the 30 day period of public viewing. This much-anticipated Philharmonic-created event is the largest annual fundraiser for the Philharmonic Society of Orange County.

The ReUse People
Based in Northern California, and founded in 1993, The ReUse People is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to keeping useable building materials out of landfills and providing them for re-use in new building projects. We sell our building materials at a fraction of the cost of new materials. On average our pricing is less than ½ as much as comparable materials at large retail outlets The ReUse People has been recently highlighted by UCLA as a teaching example. The enormous success of the Northern California retail facility has resulted in over 260,000 thousand tones of building materials being diverted from landfill. The ReUse People has facilities in Denver/Boulder, Chicago and throughout California and is expanding to major metropolitan areas throughout the US.
